John Seery-Lester

A world-renowned artist, John Seery-Lester began his career in art at age 13 upon receiving his first commission. His unmistakable style and depiction of large mammals and birds of prey has become very identifiable. He travels all across the world in search of wildlife and prefers to only paint what he has seen first-hand. There is a mysterious and mystical appeal about John's artwork which some say is related to his ability to paint the unusual and to pain wildlife in all of the natural elements. John's work has been exhibited in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's "Birds in Art" and "Wildlife: An Artist's View" show every year since 1983. He has paintings in the permanent collections at the Gilcrease Museum and the National Museum of Wildlife Art.
